ashburg’s Collection of Yamaha Zuma, Duratrax Warhead Evo, HPI Savage X 4.6 SS, and Traxxas Revo 3.3 Information
Well, I took the “bulletproof savage” apart, hung all the pieces on the pegboard in the garage, and started over. The thing got way too heavy with all those upgrades, especially the Losi LST Shock “upgrade”.
So, after doing a bit of research on what all the new Savage X SS was all about, I ended up buying the SS parts here and there on eBay. I ended up with a Savage X SS with some high end servos and a Sure Fire .32 Engine…that’s it! Anything more and you’re probably wasting your time and money.
Thanks HPI for upgrading the Savage X to the Savage X SS with the fixes that were needed (like the chassis breaking at the X, the weak differentials on the old X, the heavy duty dogbones, and the stronger transmission).
